CHRISTMAS

I like Christmas because is the moment in which we are together with our families and friends. And everybody feels happy! Christmas is coming and I have investigated about it in different countries. Each country has different traditions, food, colourful celebrations...but everybody in the world celebrates Christmas in different ways.

And these are the ones I enjoyed more:

On one hand, Finnish people at Christmas Eve leave a recipient with food for  birds to eat and  until they eat all the food inside the recipient the people can´t eat nothing. On the other hand, in Russia they have the tradition of '' one poem , one present'' They have a little bell in all the bedroom´s doors and when this bell sounds the people go to the living room , but before opening all the presents they use to tell a poem. Finally I want to wish you a Happy Christmas!

MY FRANKENSTEIN´S PROJECT

During last month, we have read Frankenstein in class and we have completed some questionnaires, powerpoints and a role play. In my group Gema, Mario and myself have searched for information about Mary Shelley, and we have discovered many interesting things about her. We have made a role play about the wedding night where Frankenstein mudered Elizabeth. And these are some  of our tasks:

THANKSGIVING

Today is Thanksgiving Day and I have decided to write about the things that I am Thankful for. I hope you like it!

I think that I am very lucky! For all the things and people I have in my life. I am thankful for having a family, friends and teachers who help, support and love me in every moment. I am thankful for having a house with all the things I need and some money to buy all I want. Finally I am grateful to my good education and all our teachers teaching us many things. I am learning a lot from them and I know that they want the best things for me and all my classmates, that is the reason why I love them and I don´t want to forget all the people that are always with me.

MY FAVOURITE FILM

My favourite film is “The vow”.This film was based on a true history. It was about a couple that got married and after years together they had a car accident. Unfortunately she lost her memory and she didn´t remember about things and people who loved her, she fought to build her own identity. At the end he decided to leave her and they became friends.  

I like this film because it is a very romantic and dramatic one! 

 

POPPY´S DAY

It is celebrated the eleventh of November. And  it is a special day set aside to remember all those men and women who were killed during the two World Wars and other conflicts. Everybody wears a red poopy in memory of those who sacrified their lives for us during the wars.

In this day are celebrated many ceremonies. People put wreaths and small wood crosses in honor of those who died and also have two minutes of silence and read emotive poems. I think that it is a very sad day, but everybody feels better when they think that all their beloved died for a good cause! 

 

GUY FAWKES

Today I want to show you how Bristish people celebrate Guy Fawkes the 5th of November. I hope you like it!!!

 

In my opinion this celebration its very good because everybody goes to the beach or other places at night to have the awesome bonfires.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween is celebrate the 31st of October. This Halloween you can prepare something nice to eat such as: Edible eyeball treats, banana monters pops, sweet monster cupcakes and more delicious and funny recipes for this day... I hope you like it!!!

This week our teacher wants us to practise the verb used to and we have watched this video.

The song is about a couple and their relationship that is going from bad to worse. The boy wants to work out the relationship because he loves her, but it is very difficult for him to be always fighting with the past memories  all the time. I like this song because it is very romantic and rhythmic!!!

ABOUT MYSELF

Hello, this is my blog I hope you like it!!! First at all I am going to introduce myself. My name is Noelia, I am a loyal, cheerful and adventurous person and I am from Málaga a beautiful city in Spain. I like swimming, reading, listening to music and acting in my free time.

My  favourite TV programme is “ El Hormiguero”  it is very funny. I usually watch it with my family because we all like it!!!

My passion is travelling around the world and knowing new traditions, food, languages, people and of course to have fun with them. I am studying fourth of ESO in a high-shool called IES Portada Alta, there I study English a lot because I think it is important for my future. My favourite subjects are English, French and Spanish. I am a hardworking student because in my future I want to go to University.
