HAPPY SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Our holidays start in here and right now I want to tell you just a few words to let you know that my Secondary school ends in here.

I have learnt a lot during these four years, but in this year I created this blog and it helps me to improve in my writings and to learn something about new tools using computers.

I discovered that sometimes you can learn and enjoy at the same time.

I also want to say that I will never forget my classmates because I love them although they sometimes make me feel crazy!

And I also will remember my teachers because I know that they want the best for us and they help us all the time.

Finally, I recommend you to rest a lot and get prepare for our new period.

I hope you enjoy your summer with your family and friends!!! 

FAVOURITE ASSIGNMENTS WHILE LEARNING ENGLISH

The end of the course is comming and I remember the things I have done during my secondary school. I want to tell you that I have learnt and I continue learning a lot. I have learnt English by using computers and studying a lot.

And now I want to inform you about my favourite tasks during these years. I loved all the tasks but these are my favourite ones.

And I also like a video created by Gema, Mario and me.

ART

I like art in its different ways: drama, sculpture, cinematography, painting… Nobody can imagine, just for a minute, a world without art! I think art can help us to express ourselves and gives us a way to be creative. When I look at a painting it makes me think about. In my point of view art is not only a beautiful painting by a very famous author, art has not got rules but it is subjective and means something different for each person in the world. For me art is only to make something for others to transmit them your feelings. Finally I want to say that I think that for some people, art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning.

 

THE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN

In the third term we have to choose one book and read it. I have chosen "The adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and I created this animated presentation:

ARE YOU A SUPERHERO LEARNING ENGLISH?

During this week in my class we have to create comics about learning English. And I decided to desing two comics with superhéroes explainning the importance of English in our lives.

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

Yesterday it was celebrated The Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen (Denmark).

Everybody around the world was attending to that contest in which twenty-six songs were in a competition.

Mostly all of the songs were in the English language so the people who are studying English had a great opportunity to practise their listening.

I loved all the songs but my favourite ones were: Calm after the storm, No prejuice and Rise like a phoneix which was the winner´s song.

I give my congratulations to all of the singers and finally I want to tell you that I am impatient waiting for the next Eurovision song contest in Austria!!!

HISTORY OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE

The English language is the most widely spoken language worldwide right now. English is used for business, travel and science activities. But do we know where English come from? English has got many words from other languages that is because many years ago a lot of people invaded England and settled there. At the very begining English was influenced by the Roman Empire and the Catholic church. The first ones who came to England where the Germanic-speaking people, after them came the Normans who spoke French and finally Britain began to colonise other countries. That is why we can find words from many different origins such us: book, kitchen, ketchup, silk, soya... Actually we can appreciate different kinds of English and talks. Finally I want to say that English has changed a lot during the years and right now we speak English in a different way and with other words.

 

 

EASTER

Easter is a Christian festival and holiday what celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each culture have their own traditions in some countries like Great Britain or The United States they usually tell the story of a rabbit who hids colourful eggs.

And in Spain  we have the Holy week and we go out to the center of our cities to see the thrones which represents images of the life of Jesus.

JOBS IN THE FUTURE

Today I want to show you what are going to be the jobs in the future.

We have nurses, politician, lawyers...but everything is going to change and technology will make its impact.

Maybe in the future we will have dietitians and computer programmers:
-Dietitians: We will need dietitians because people in our society have bad habits eating food. People don´t have many time and they usually eat junk food what it isn´t healthy for us.

To become a dietitian  you must have a bachelor´s degree in dietetics, food and nutritions, and have a basic knowledge of medicine.

And you should be assertive and patient with people.

-Computer programmer: We will need it because, we are using technologies more everyday.

You must have a degree in computer technologies, you must know maths, codes and solve computer problems.

I think that to be a computer programmer you should love technologies because you will spend many hours in front of a computer.

-Financial analyst: We will need this jobs because people want to earn money and this people recommend to their clients when to buy and sell to get the best quantity.

You must have a degree in business administration and they should  know economy.

MY FAVOURITE INVENTION

I think that the most important invention is the Internet because with it we can share information, meet people from other countries, study with all the resources that the Internet offers us, we can find information only in a few minutes and we can find anything in there. However, some people are addicted because they are always using the Internet but if you use it well you will have many benefits from it!

The Internet was not invented by or created by a single person. Tim Berners-Lee, is a British computer scientist who is credited with inventing the World Wide Web. But the first time different groups of people tried to send a message to another, a professor from the university of California sent an e-mail to Standford and Internet was born.

From now on the use of Internet is getting bigger and bigger and it makes our lives easier!

SAINT PATRICK´S DAY

PORTADA MASTER CHEF

In my class we have to prepare many delicious cakes. So, I have made a cheesecake, I have recorded a video speaking in English and I have made a presentation with all my instructions.

TREASURE ISLAND

During these months in my class we have read a book called "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson. We have done many quizzes, questionnaires, role plays, a summary of the book and we also have created the main characters of the book with Voki. Here I leave you my Project:

SAINT VALENTINE´S DAY

It was Saint Valentine´s Day yesterday and in my class we have done many things. I have searched information about two singers, I have translated two songs, I have created two stories and I also have studied by heart some love idioms.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY

The International Day of Peace is celebrated on 30th of January. And my class have heard a song by Jonh Lennon called "Imagine". Our teacher wanted us to complete some sentences and these are my ones:

MY ENGLISH RESOLUTIONS

The year has started already, so I have decided to make resolutions for my English class.

First, I am going to try to speak more English in class, because if I speak more I will speak more fluently and I will improve my pronunciations.

Then I am going to listen more songs in English because I think doing that I will learn many words. And I also want to practise English doing grammar exercises.

Finally, I think that doing all that maybe I will end speaking English very well!
